An analog PCI card from Mercury/Kobian.

Overview/Features

A good Tv tuner card based on Conexxant Cx23881 chipset with PAL tuner. May be there is a Other tuner versions too on different markets.

Current Status

  • Works flawlessly with recent kernels flawlessly(Tested on ubuntu 9.10, 10.04 and other flavours).
  • There are some mild picture quality issues which needs to be addressed.

Making it work

To make this work create a config file: /etc/modprobe.conf/mercury.conf and put the following line in it. Try with different tuner values depending on your region.

options cx88 card=27 tuner=69
