The Multimedia Home Platform (short MHP) is a standard, defined by the DVB Project, that specifies a Java-based interactive media content format for use in DVB transmissions.
MHP is a middleware standard built on a Java subset. A subset of MHP, called GEM (Globally Extensible MHP), is the basis for both CableLabs' OCAP middleware and the Blu-Ray Middleware.
