shomas | I am running Ubuntu 14.04. I purchased a "KWorld UB435-Q USB ATSC TV Stick" Its "VID:UID" is "1b80:e34c", (not v3). http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/KWorld_UB435-Q_USB_ATSC_TV_Stick page says "supported under Linux as of Kernel 3.16.??". My current Kernel is "3.19.0-25-generic". I live in the US and am trying to get the clear qam channels from my cable provider, cox cable. 'w_scan -fa -A3 -c US -X' picked up over the air channels
when attached to an antenna but 'w_scan -fa -A2 -c US -X' failed to pick up cable channels when connected to my cable service. Any help is appreciated. | [04:07] |

intracube | shomas: ParkerR: I know next to nothing about the US tv market, but there are forum postings saying many cable providers are no longer distributing channels in clear-QAM
