I am wondering if anybody has the eeprom dump from a Hauppauge WinTv-HVR-955Q. I have an Airtv brand ATSC/QAM usb tuner that is an OEM build by Hauppauge for Airtv.
The windows device utility provided on hauppauge's website gave me a eeprom dump along with some other vlauable info...such as it being recognized as a 955Q. The airtv Vid is 0x2040... same as the 955Q, but the Pid is 0xb124.
I created a patch to add the Airtv to the supported adapters list in cx231xx-cards.c but it will still not recognize it.
Hi, I'm playing a little with usb dvb device that I have, seems to be working okay. Thanks for that! I'm trying to learn a bit about device drivers and kernel and I'm using this dvb device for that.. so, newbie question ahead
If I remove the usb device, I see that /dev/dvb does go away but some dvb_usb_* modules are kept loaded. Is that a bug?
There is no application using it, I can modprobe -r without issues
