[19:33] <gunchyo> hi. i will submit a bud report to bugzilla but before
[19:34] <gunchyo> has anyone ever seen a multi-tuner Hauppauge card only load half of the tuners?
[19:34] <gunchyo> Example, quad tuner, only two tuners show up in kernel logs and in frontend software
[19:34] <gunchyo> I hope it's not hardware failure because I don't see any warranty info for Hauppauge
[20:00] <b-rad> gunchyo, can you share logs?
[20:34] <gunchyo> give me a moment to organize them
[20:35] <gunchyo> I have two tuner cards in at the moment so I just want to comment
[20:35] <gunchyo> and I tried with multiple kernel versions, and two different distros
[21:16] <gunchyo> b-rad, Good boot with 4 tuners: https://arin.ga/Mdd0Km/raw | bad boot with 2 tuners: https://arin.ga/rAE2vt/raw
[21:16] <gunchyo> i think
[21:16] <gunchyo> I may have caused an electrical shock when working on the system :(
[21:17] <gunchyo> ignore 0000:1e:00.0, this is my single tuner card
[21:27] <b-rad> the "bad" log is indeed missing one of the pci id's
[21:33] <gunchyo> so, is this hardware failure then :(
[21:34] <gunchyo> or can I force it to read the old pci id
[21:36] <b-rad> if that id doesn't show up on the bus it sounds uncommunicable
[21:37] <b-rad> the boards should be fairly robust, i tend to be rather careless and have never fried one ...knock on wood
[21:37] <b-rad> so very bad luck if you did
[21:37] <gunchyo> i've rebooted many times and tried in another computer even
[21:38] <gunchyo> in the other PC running arch, latest kernel, only one tuner showed up
[21:38] <b-rad> yeh if you cleaned and reseated it it doesn't sound good
[21:38] <gunchyo> :(
[21:38] <gunchyo> it is under warranty
[21:38] <gunchyo> i just checked but only for a few more months
[21:38] <gunchyo> i just not sure if they would accept it
[21:38] <gunchyo> I relaly don't remember if I touched it when installing a new HDD
[21:38] <b-rad> well make a support ticket, i uhm won't say anything lol
[21:39] <gunchyo> well I don't remember :|
[21:39] <gunchyo> so I probably didn't touch it
[21:39] <gunchyo> btu I was wearing my grounding arm strap!!
[21:39] <gunchyo> so I was grounded!
[21:49] <gunchyo> b-rad, do you think I should send the kernel log pci IDs to the tech support
[21:49] <gunchyo> at least I mean line 22?
[21:54] <b-rad> send full log if they ask for it and just say whats wrong
[21:55] <gunchyo> ok
[21:56] <gunchyo> i'm sad now :(
[21:56] <gunchyo> i'm a failure computer operator
[21:56] <gunchyo> install HDD, tuner broken
[21:57] <gunchyo> try so hard, get so far... in the end, it doesn't even matter :(
[22:02] <gunchyo> b-rad, what else is new with LinuxTV?
[22:21] <void09> gunchyo: I got some usb tuners from aliexpress, $15 a piece
[22:22] <void09> anyone here that is experienced with oscam and/or tvheadend ?
[22:23] <void09> i am super confused about how i'm supposed to make them work together
[23:31] <gunchyo> void09, tvheadend yes
[23:31] <gunchyo> idk what oscam is
[23:31] <gunchyo> what aliexpress tuners?
[23:35] <b-rad> i been gone for almost 8wk, i'm behind the times
