jbergj: Hey, I came here to IRC, to get a little help, I have been trying to compile 5 times with different variations. And at this moment I need a little guidance in the right direction :)
I got the PCI express card (an old 54mm card) and I was trying to get it working on my old thinkpad. I will just drom the information here so anyone has a chace to push me in the right direciton: I am using Ubuntu mate 19.04 (kernel 5.3.0-19-generic) and the card is called AVerTV Hybrid NanoExpress HC82 (DVB-T) / [HC82R] which identifies as "Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7160
(rev 03)" from peeking around github, I suspect the driver needed is saa716x_hybrid or saa716x_budget - I tried to compile with this guide: https://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/TBS_driver_installation without luck, but when I look at something like this: https://github.com/tbsdtv/linux_media/blob/latest/drivers/media/pci/saa716x/Kconfig I see there is a file called Kconfig where the card is
mentioned and it looks like there should be some kind interactive setup """Say Y if you own such a device and want to use it.""" is written in this file.
Hoping for any clue I can use :)
