mchehab: hverkuil: pong
hverkuil: mchehab: I keep getting e.g. 'Undeliverable: Re: [PATCH] media/rc: compile rc-cec.c into rc-core' from Postmaster <postmaster@wilsonet-com.bounceio.net> whenever I post to linux-media.
Are you able to remove jarod@wilsonet.com from the subscribers? I think he's the culprit.
wilsonet.com has expired since 02/09/2021.
pinchartl: I get the same, it's very annoying
mchehab: yeah, I can remove jarod from it
he was the past lirc maintainer, before syoung
I might redirect to his redhat e-mail, but probably not worth
hmm... jarod: jarod@redhat.com
if it is vger, his e-mail will soon be dropped automatically from it
mailman drops such e-mails after a few attempts to deliver
hverkuil: does this happen when you post or when the patches are committed?
pinchartl: mchehab: it's been going on for quite a while. there's a "smart bouncer" enabled there that generates lots of spam, and may have interfered with the ability of mailman and vger to disable the subscription automatically
 hverkuil: When I post.
mchehab: ok. let me first check with Jerod... it is too early for him... he's at Boston area
hverkuil: The bounce goes directly to the author of the email (me) and likely not to the mailinglist.
mchehab: if he's not re-enabling wilsonet, I'll reach vger admins
(it could well be that he missed the payment date for his domain ;-) )
btw, I also receifed a couple of such e-mails myself
ok, sent an e-mail to Jerod on his Red Hat's email
 hverkuil: thanks!
mchehab: hverkuil: just heard back from Jarod: he says that the domain is appearing to him as renewed up to 12/22
we'll check with is domain provider and have this sorted out as soon as possible
