hi, I'm not able to fetch objects from linuxtv.org git repo
fatal: unable to connect to linuxtv.org:
linuxtv.org[0: 130.149.80.248]: errno=Connection refused
javier__: linuxtv.org is undergoing maintanance (moved to a new machine as I understand it). Try again later.
hverkuil: ok, thanks a lot for the info
sailus_: I saw your 22 part MC series. Unfortunately it is unlikely I'll have time to review it. The reality is that it is unlikely I'll have time to do MC reviews for the time being.
It's why I spend so much time on the initial patches since I knew my time would a lot more limited soon.

javier__: linuxtv is up and running again.
hverkuil: mmm still having Connection refused here
javier__: huh, it's gone again.
hverkuil, javier_: the server got upgraded... it is running a new distro
I know, and it worked 15 minutes ago, Now it doesn't anymore.
we're still finishing to adjust some things there
ah, I thought all was done based on Johannes' email.
oh, I missed that thread in linux-media ML
sorry for adding noise to this channel then
Hi. Can anyone tell me if it's no longer possible to connect a IEEE1394 Camcorder to V4L? I remember doing so a few years ago, and now I need to use my camcorder for Skype again as I did back then, I notice some packages are no longer available (dv4l) and some api's have changed... Has this been obsoleted?
I found dv4l latest package from 2014, but it wouldn't compile
Hello - ello - llo - lo - o - ... Wow, what an echo :/
hverkuil, javier__: I guess the new server is now ok
feel free to ping me if you find any issues
mchehab: yes, it is working now. Thanks!
the only noticeable change would be at patchwork... it got updated to the new version and has now a css stylesheet using a linuxtv-like style
such change is likely the one that would cause more troubles, as patchwork has a non-trivial library dependency
mchehab: I thought latest patchwork already had the count for A/R/T tags
mchehab: i.e: https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/project/linux-pwm/list/
javier__: perhaps some migration script needs to run to make it work
migrating database on patchwork is not trivial
yeah, I'm not familiar with patchwork backend
Hmm, the main things in the new patchwork that is annoying is that the date column is too small (at least under google chrome) so all dates (and therefor all patch entries) take two lines instead of one.
weird, it is fine in my todo list.
here it appears fine, but I don't use chrome
perhaps some caching issue?
works fine in iceweasel
still wrong in chrome after clearing the cache
hverkuil: if you find the culprit at the css, I can fix it
at firefox/icewasel, you could check it with the Inspect Element (Q) tool
it opens with mouse right-click popup menu
on an inspect here, I don't see anything wrong there
table.patchlist td {
padding: 2px 6px;
margin: 10px 0px 0px;
color: #FFF;
}
and, on firefox, even increasing the size of the font, it doesn't affect the date column size
as there's no width: property at the css
hverkuil: I added a break-inside: avoid-column;
please check if this fixes the issue
don't forget to cleanup the cache
hmm... I guess this works better:
white-space: nowrap;
Ah, that's better!
cool
javier__: that A/R/T is part of a patchwork redesign patchset:
https://lists.ozlabs.org/pipermail/patchwork/2015-October/001740.html
I suspect that such patches were not merged yet upstream
hi
im looking for a cheap camera to get a picture in my car when i drive backwards....there are quite some options on ebay/amazon. but most of them are not listed as linux supported
on their pages
do you guys know a manufactor/ebay seller who sells cheap cams that work on linux?
i dont need 1080 or something, 800x??? are enough.
the device should stream in x264 if possible
mchehab: I see, I thought were already merged because patchwork.ozlabs.org have it
but maybe is using a dev branch or out-of-tree patches
likely
I guess they use ozlabs.org as a patchwork testbench before merging stuff upstream
mchehab: yeah, that makes sense
