posciak: hverkuil: I saw your discussion about ELCE, there is an ELCE in Berlin, and then the summit in the US, what are the plans for both, do you know?
would we be having a workshop on any of them?
hverkuil: I can only speak for myself: I will be at the ELCE, but I don't plan to be at the kernel summit unless I am invited.
On the Monday before the ELCE we will either have a media summit meeting, or an informal meeting should Mauro decide to have the media summit elsewhere.
(Should that be together with the kernel summit, then I guess I have to be there as well, but my very strong preference is to have it in Berlin).
I understand that both Laurent and Sakari will be in Berlin.
Mauro will attend the LinuxCon, but I am unsure about the ELCE, it's a bit unclear to me.
If we want to discuss the request/codec APIs, then I believe the ELCE is the best place since Laurent, Sakari and myself will all be there.
I believe these two related topics need some coordination and we need to setup a roadmap to get this done.
posciak: I reviewed the patches previously
they look good to me in general, I think in general for the codec API to go forward, we need to support controls in it
hverkuil: Yeah, that's the main missing piece. Laurent will work on that.
***: Renault has left "Au revoir"
posciak: ok, perhaps we should discuss with Mauro, sounds like many people would prefer Berlin for thie year's workshop
posciak: I will attend both ELCE and LPC
but not LinuxCon NA
 ezequielg: hverkuil: Hi Hans!
hverkuil: I sent a patch for tw686x couple days ago. I don't really like sending such "refactor" patches, as they produce a hard to review diff, I couldn't find a better way though. Let me know if you think I can do better.
hverkuil: ezequielg: I've seen much worse :-)
