hello when I want to set frequency i need to set id to 2 or V4L2_CID_POWER_LINE_FREQUENCY_60HZ ? hverkuil: hi, did you have time to look at my patches ? narmstrong: hope to have time today. Plowing through 100+ emails at the moment. Hi all question: I want to connect 1 analog camera (through composite video) to 2 frame grabbers over a coaxial cable. When using only 1 frame grabber, the grabbed content looks just fine, but if I hook up 2 frame grabbers (by using a bnc t-connector) the output is mildly distorted. So my question: do I need to use terminators on this coaxial bus? or can I just hook them up directly? nad, is there a preferred order of devices on the bus? ie, camera-----framegrabber1------framegrabber2 or framegrabber1 ----- camera ------ framegrabber2 mchehab, hverkuil: is the v4l-dvb/master going to make it into v4.11-rc4? It contains the last fix we need for a clean build on the daily builds, https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/9564849/, but the branch hasn't been touch since Feb 13 arnd: I'll be picking the patch and applying to the fixes branch along this week mchehab: ok, thanks! master is the development branch ;) thank for pinging me about that mchehab: I've just looked through the branch and found a few more that look like they should be in v4.11: eb3f1b7f2d09 ("[media] bdisp: Clean up file handle in open() error path") d7f3e33df4fb ("[media] exynos-gsc: Do not swap cb/cr for semi planar formats") f9fa0f2bebaa ("[media] dvb-usb-firmware: don't do DMA on stack") that should be all ok. I'll cherry-pick to the fixes branch Phew, plowed through all the 160+ unread emails (imx/mc/etc. related). Now, if everyone can just stop sending more emails? Please? :-) narmstrong: ping hverkuil: yep Just to be sure: you're talking about Ramiro's patch series for the DW CSI-2 Host? And not your drm series. hverkuil: nope, I'm takling about the bus formats additions for DW_HDMI on drm include/uapi/linux/media-bus-format.h? yes Ah, now I see. You need an ack for the media header/doc patches. I hope so, I'm not sure about the namings hverkuil: thanks, it will be simpler to have a separate 48bit table... hey, I am having some trouble with an Haupauge HD PVR Rocket recorder. I had bought it because it can do offline recording and I thought I had read online it is supported by v4l... on further research... not so sure any more... the vendor's drivers are for an old linux driver and the driver in the normal kernel doesn't seem to support the exact model I have can somebody help me figure out if my device is really supported and how?
