koikehi, question about controls: if I associate a control of type V4L2_CTRL_TYPE_CTRL_CLASS to a v4l2_ctrl_handler, then it means that all the controls associated with this handler will be part of the same class right? As v4l2_subdevice only have a pointer to a single ctrl_handler, then I can only have a class per subdevice? [17:33]
and also why a control of type V4L2_CTRL_TYPE_CTRL_CLASS needs to have a ops field?
hverkuil: I am taking a look at the vimc patch now (sorry about the delay), I am just trying to figure why qv4l2 is not showing a new tab for the class
hverkuil: ah, I know, its because qv4l2 only shows the controls associated with the capture, ok

bparrotsailus, ping [20:10]
sailus, i am trying to compile test your "[PATCH v14 00/28] Unified fwnode endpoint parser, async sub-device notifier support, N9 flash DTS" series applied on top of linux-media master.
Am i missing some dependent patches? i am getting a compile failure in drivers/media/v4l2-core/v4l2-fwnode.c because "struct fwnode_reference_args" is not defined.
[20:21]
sailusbparrot: Pong.
Yes, you're missing the patch adding that.
It'll be in v4.15, but it hasn't reached mediatree master yet.
Or... actually I think it has.

bparrotsailus, thanks i don't think it is in linux-media master as of yet, i just did a "git pull" just before merging your patch set. [20:36]
sailusI've had the branch with a few as3645a fixes on linux-media for a while now. I wonder what you might have gotten with that pull. :-) [20:46]
bparrothopefully the current head without any mess-up :) Anyway i was able to grab the missing patch and apply it to my tree. I am able to compile now :) [20:48]
