I am not really sure where to ask my question. I have been doing analog capture A/V inputs from PVR-1250. In Debian stable. New update caused VLC to report my CPU is too slow. Viewing is good, few dropped frames, View AND saving, has few screen refreshes and the saved file is like 3fps to 11fps. AMD 3.2ghz 8cpu chip. I ran perf tool. there are seveal swapper threads, each taking up >25%<30% CPU time. The CPU time drops to less than 2 percent when
it gets to the cx23885 code. I have been searching for a solution for over 3 months. Is there anyone here that can point me in the right direction to fixing this?
