WhoWhatWhen
hverkuilmchehab: Linus pulled the last set of media fixes. Can you merge them back into our tree? [09:44]
mchehabsure, any particular reason?
(I usually prefer to merge a new rc)
[09:45]
hverkuilAh, I can wait until the next rc since that's just 2-3 days away. [09:47]
mchehabok, so I'll do it after -rc
feel free to ping me to remind if I forget ;-)

shuahmchehab, pinchartl: what's a good source for mc_nextgen_test these days? [16:22]
.......... (idle for 46mn)
hverkuilshuah: vimc [17:08]
shuahhverkuil: thanks I will check it out [17:14]
hverkuildepends on how you define a 'good source' of course, but as a virtual driver it's easy to test with. [17:15]
...................... (idle for 1h45mn)
shuahhverkuil: I am looking for a user-space app to run ioctls to get topology etc. So maybe vimc isn't right one for what I am trying to do [19:00]
............... (idle for 1h11mn)
ezequielgmchehab: hverkuil: we have enabled kernelci for the media subsystem. for now it targets, https://git.linuxtv.org/media_tree.git.
i will send an email to the ml with more details
[20:11]
...... (idle for 27mn)
mchehabshuah: you can use the contrib/test/mc_nextgen_test at v4l-utils
if you want to test setup links, then you need to use the mediactl app
hverkuil was developing a mc-compliance tool too (not sure if it ended by being a separate app or part of v4l-compliance, as I didn't use it yet)
[20:38]
ezequielgshuah: I think pinchartl had a tool, think it was http://git.ideasonboard.org/media-enum.git ? [20:41]
