hverkuil: I'll double check, but the most likely is that it doesn't exist indeed ;) hverkuil: given how profitable the LF are, and with their recent attempt to put ELC videos behind a paywall, I'm seriously considering asking to get paid to give a talk at their conferences... the entry fee is too high both for hobbyists and for professionals pinchartl: you pay for quality of the keynotes jmondi: exactly my point :-) hverkuil: I don't recall anything specifically for the codecs, but I could come up with some stateless encoder discussion... tfiga: it might have been that. I think we should at least touch on that subject. Can you reply to my [ANN] email? hverkuil: yes, it's on my list :) pinchartl: "ELC videos behind a paywall" - i'm sorry, what? ezequielg: https://lists.celinuxforum.org/g/Elc-announce/message/84 I have a great idea. Let's propose a more frugal coffee break and evening sessions, and with the money... we can afford a few things. Coffee breaks have been so insanely luxurious on the last ELCE, that I would imagine it's a lot of extra cash :-) a few years ago (maybe 5) when I discussed this topic, I learnt that a gallon of coffee costs ~$100 we could also propose a "no tshirt" option for attendees who don't want to generate more fabric waste that's actually a pretty good idea. on the food side, proposing less waste, might actually be _more_ expensive.
