so the problem currently is that media bus formats are only for video frames so every media bus format that is not a video frame can only be MEDIA_BUS_FMT_FIXED which is the only format that is not a video frame for example metadata or audio so instead of addin a flag to the pad like I did in this patchset, it is easyer to add more media buses that are not video frame like you suggested to add MEDIA_BUS_FMT_FIXED_METADATA then if needed also MEDIA_BUS_FMT_AUDIO and so on | [15:58] |
