There are some default routes that will apply for simple devices, or some way to make it work with the existing drivers from what I recall ... but I think there's lots of devices that should get streams-api updates. [18:15] <mriesch> kbingham: i am asking because there is a mipi csi host connected to my capture device [18:16] <mriesch> the capture device is about to become streams aware [18:16] <mriesch> but the csi host could be seen as transparent subdevice [18:21] *** jarthur has joined #linux-media [18:22] <pinchartl> mriesch: I'd expect CSI-2 receivers to be stream-aware, as they often have to either demultiplex multiple streams, or at least select which stream to capture [18:31] <mriesch> pinchartl: true, but it seems that in this case the receiver consists of two subdevices [18:32] <mriesch> and only the second one deals with mipi vcs [18:32] <mriesch> at least that's my current impression [19:24] <jlc32> I figured it out things are running smoothly, thanks [19:28] *** jlc32 has quit IRC (Quit: Page closed) [19:28] *** Hammer_Meat has quit IRC (Quit: Leaving) [19:39] *** prabhakalad has quit IRC (Quit: Konversation terminated!)
