howto Playback DVDs with DVB-s?

Hello!

Is there a less complex tool than OMS to Playback Mpeg2 Files?
Cant get OMS to compile here. 

My second Problem is the usage of mpg2mpg

./mpg2mpg -f 2 -v /home/vid/xab /home/vid/xab.tst

says "Too many filename arguments!"

but mpeg2mpeg -h says 
"mpg2mpg [-f outformat] -v[x] [infile] [outfile]" 

it starts working if there is only one filename
but produces no Output.
