DVB & PPTP over LAN/PPP?

Hello, I got 2 conflicting statements about
DVB & PPTP over LAN/PPP. The ISP said that
it is impossible to use LINUX PPTP over LAN/PPP
with their LINUX DVB card (Broadlogic 2030).
Mr Tom E. (USENET) said that it is possible to
use LINUX PPTP over LAN/Internet (PPP?).
Anyone have experience using PPTP over
LAN/PPP with LINUX DVB card?
