[linux-dvb] channel switching problems + solution basis

Hello, 
I read of channel switching problems again and again
since several versions of DVB/VDR,
so I think it is time to tell about what I know - may one
of you convert it into a final solution :-)

When I started with dvb, I had hangups with channel switching 
with vdr. As I wanted a command line channel switch anyway,
I tried to use the dvblib for channel switch. The resulting program
worked for some channels, but for others not.

Then I found "pscan". The main task of pscan is scanning for
channels, what did not work for me. But pscan has the ability
to switch to a given Freq/VPID/APID/...., and that really worked
absolutely flawless since then. No hangup ever.

So whatever the problem is, a solution should be found in pscan.
(Of course, the recent problem nevertheless may be in the driver itself.)
