Nice idea, but I'm afraid there is no such thing as a "last-frames" marker.
What we would really need is (as Andreas suggested in a related posting)
a way to tell the decoder to display all frames it currently has in memory,
without waiting for more data, and keep the last displayed frame as a still
picture.
