After
ifconfig dvb0 x.y.z.t
a
ifconfig dvb0 down
must follow before dvb.o can be unloaded.

That part seems to be o.k. But without signal -> no filtering.

Yes, if you have no other V4L devices (Bt8x8 TV cards, Webcams,...) whose
drivers were loaded before.

Of course. dvbd changes transponder/frequency to that one that is
specified in the config file, or the default one. Look at "dvbd -n".

Tune dvbd to transponders from where you get perfect TV images, and watch
"sync" and "vber" parameters there.
