[linux-dvb] dvbtune usage with "-n" option
Hello everybody,
I want to use dvbtune to tune my card for receiving IP data.
So I want that it creates a net interface.
Supposing these informations:
transponder: 10 (not important)
frequency: 12.1230 GHz
symbol rate: 27500 KS/s
polarisation: H
LNB: dual (9.75 / 10.06)
PID: 454
viterbi rate: 3/4
L band frequency: 1.8230 GHz
22 khz switch: ON
Then my command line (after loaded the drivers of course) is:
- dvbtune -c 0 -f 12123000 -p H -t 1 -s 27500 -n 454
- I configure dvb0_0 (with ifconfig)
Finally, I can see ethernet frames with tcpdump or in ifconfig's statistics, independently from my multicast settings (we are speaking about level 2 ISO/OSI).
Are all these steps correct?
Thank you,
