[linux-dvb] pb with Nova card and dvbd
Hi,
dvbd3 with opensky patch is working with this configuration:
DVB-s hauppauge card
Debian
kernel 2.2.19
0.8.2 driver (no patch)
dvbd3 + opensky patch
with some tools like tcpdump I can see the Multicast and Unicast traffic.
But I would like to use a Nova card,
I put it in my box,
drivers load properly,
dvbd give me some good output:
"Fsync = 0, Freq = 1553750000, Sync = 127 Afc = 4294029796 Agc = 319 Nest =
17920 Vber = 52"
but with tcpdump I cannot see the Multicast and Unicast traffic, that I
should see.
I found in the file called "NEWS", in the dvb driver package, this:
------------
- dvb-0.8.0
first release with complete implementation (as the hardware allows it)
of the new API
support for Technotrend-Budget card (Hauppauge WinTV-Nova should be the
same)
with the old API you only get the complete TS from /dev/video
with the new API you can use all filtering and tuning features
------------
This seems to explain, why the dvbd's way of filtering is not working with
the Nova card. Am I right?
Could someone help me to understand this problem and help me to solve it?
Thanks,
Christophe
