in szap channel lists symbolrate (in kSymbols/sec) is the 5th entry:

MTV Central:12699:v:0:22000:3031:3032:1:28643

FEC is hardcoded to FEC_AUTO. If you want to change this modify szap.c, 
line 179. For VDR ask Klaus or on the VDR mailing list.
