[linux-dvb] Hauppauge Nova-CI under Linux
Hello,
First of all I have to warn you I'm a newbie with DVB under Linux...
I tried to run my Hauppauge Nova-CI with the latest CVS sources from
linuxtv.org, I could also compile everything and could also add the
devices with ./makedev.napi and lsmod lists also a lot of new modules,
also a grundig module.
Then the problems begun:
1. How can I test if my card works fine? I played around with dvbtune
(eg dvbtune -f 498000000 -i) but I always get: FD 4: fd_dvr DEMUX
DEVICE: No such file or directory. How to test it other or what am I
doing wrong? (I live in Switzerland if that helps to solve the problem).
2. If I could help me to solve the problem 1 I'll probably run into a
new problem: How can I watch TV with my card. I'd like to use xine, but
if it is better to use mplayer I will use this. Let's say I want to
watch ARD, how can I do so??
