Hi All,
I have a dish with 70m cable. This works fine with my current satellite receiver. But when I connect my Rev 1.3 DVB-S card the LNB won't switch to the high band. I measured the amplitude of the 22kHz tone at the output of the card (650mV top-top) and at the output of the receiver (1.6 V top-top). So I conclude that the signal is too weak for the given length.
Do any of you know of ways to increase this signal? I can think of messing around with the LNB voltage supply switch, but I'd prefer not to. Are there in-line amplifiers that also boost the 22kHz? Is getting a bigger power supply an option (mine is 250W)?
Thanks,
Leon Brouwer
