This is interesting as you're using a DXR3 to decode. There's certainly 
something strange about the data on UK DVB-T transponders, as they give an 
av7110 lots of trouble too. The problem of decoding BBC transmitters was 
solved by increasing the video memory size on the av7110, but it still dies 
after a while especially on other channels - so maybe these two problems 
are related somehow.

I though the DXR3 is completely independent of the linux-tv DVB when used 
with vdr? I thought the em8300 code was fairly experimental and isn't 
actually used by the vdr plugin for the DXR3?
