[linux-dvb] Just checking instructions with dvb-kernel

I had a few problems getting the dvb-kernel cvs to work correctly with my
2.4 kernel.
Can someone please confirm if the following is approximately correct

a) Grab the dvb-kernel cvs
b) Build the modules in the build-2.4 directory after running ./getlinks and
generally following the README
c) ./insmod.sh insmod
d) Use tzap from the DVB cvs tree to change channel using a channels.conf
file which previously worked fine with the DVB branch driver

So the point is I haven't patched my kernel at all (2.4.22 gs)

What I am seeing is that the modules insmod fine, but running tzap causes an
error, something like:

"ioctl: FE_SET_PARAMETERS invalid parameter" (I'm typing this from memory)

The card is a brand new Hauppauge Nova-T budget card (haven't looked at the
chipset labels yet) and for reference it has a remote control bundled with
it and there is a hole in the back of the card for the remote sensor (ie not
usb or serial)

Any thoughts on what I might have done wrong?
