Yes, it is supposed to be Free, at least during IBC event ;-)

OK. I would try to stop my VDR server to do some tests this Friday.

I am not sure whether mplayer does WM9 decoding or not.


Anyway, As you said, I am not sure WM9/HDTV is good news for 
GPL/Opensource solutions.

But, the idea of having a better encoded format with high quality using 
with a lower bandwidth requirement than MPEG2 is a good idea.
