Would it work with a Pinnacle PCTV Sat CI? If so, can you explain how to
build a kernel with this driver?

The markings on the chips on the Pinnacle PCTV Sat CI board are:

Conexant Fusion 878A
Pinnacle PCTV SAT CI-001
Pinnacle PCTV SAT CI-002
Atmel AT49F002NT
CSI IC61C1024-12T
Atmel 314 24C02N

The frontend is labeled TDQC-S001F 304D2801 and has a Philips TSA5059T chip
in it.
