[linux-dvb] Re: Analog module
Hello Henrik,
> So the question is if it's possible hardware-wise to capture
from an analog source and watch the DVB source simulataneously. Of
course you cannot receive the DVB stream since they are using the same
tuner but you would like to see the menus and the decoded captured MPEG
stream.
On your computer monitor? No, that's not possible. The av7110 DVB stuff
is connected to the video port a of the saa7146, the analog TV stuff is
connected to video port b of the saa7146.
In order to have the av7110 OSD on the analog output, the analog TV
stuff should have to go through the av7110. But it does not. 8-(
There is a chance that you can still use the a7110 DVB with the
composite/s-video ouput from the connectiors directly on your card (ie.
the signal that comes directly from the av7110) after you have switched
to analog output. You would have the DVB / MPEG stuff still on the
tv-out, while you're watching analog TV on your monitor. But I don't
think that this makes sense...
