I only can help you with the flooded ttys: Someone (probably the
maintainer of klog package) forget to set klog console log level.

Edit /etc/init.d/klogd and set KLOGD="" to KLOGD="-c4" then flooding will
stop.

I'm also using the analog module sometimes, but my /var/log/messages stays
somehow readable.
