Regarding a), you need multiple LNBs; the exact setup will depend on which satellites you want to view and how far apart they are from each other. That is, there's no problem using the same dish for both Hotbird-13.0E and Astra-19.2E. The problems begin when you want Hotbird AND Astra-28.2E. Solutions include motorized (c below) dishes and angled (bent) dishes. I already had a dish for Hotbird-13.0E and Astra-19.2E, so I chose to add a dedicated dish for Astra-28.2E - a motorized solution would add complexity and time delays changing channels. I've added the scan seed file I used to create the Astra 28.2 channels.conf file (goes in dvb driver -> apps/scan/dvb-s directory). Files already exist for the other two. In the case of the linuxtv-dvb-apps-1.1.0 distribution, the directory is linuxtv-dvb-apps-1.1.0/util/scan/dvb-s Disclaimer: I'm not an expert on this.... this is what I've been able to get working.
