OK - I've follow Mick Kenyon's suggestion re scan. this all works fine. I just need to work out how to change channels now!

Ah yeah, you always get that when you lock on initially; I think the hardware
just starts at counter 13454, so the driver thinks its missed loads, but
really its just the first one. I should really fix that.
