[linux-dvb] Re: DVB-S with CI card to buy

I belive the CI interface for the budget cards is still experimental/unstable,
for something that has been around for ages and is rock solid you would get
the Hauppauge Nexus-S or Technotrend TT Premium (iirc).
Exelent, that's what I wanted to know.
The Nexus has been rock solid here for about 1 1/2 years, with a conax cam +
canal digital scandinavia. And you also get 2 CI slots, the budget cards only
has one. They are a bit more expensive, since there's a mpeg decoder on there
in addition, but in my oppinion it's worth it.
Do those cards provide:
1) The raw un-descrambled stream?
2) The descrambled stream (so it's possible to scale it and output it
with mplayer)?
3) The decoded frames?
How is the interface to the mpeg2 decoder? is it possible to decode any
mpeg2 stream or does it only accept data from the card itself?
