Ludwig,
thanx a lot for your advice. Finally I had
some time to play around with my card . . . . . I installed the
driver from my Suse distribution, and it worked fine suddenly at first
go.
One point however remains open: I did not
succeed in having the audio also. I feel there's some way of telling the
multimedia programs which audio card to use, but did not find out until
now which. If someone has a moment time to point me out where to look after
it would be great. I don't understand if it's the TV card to be configured
which audio out put to use, the driver or the final application using driver+card.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanx again,
best
Reinhard

dvb and vdr packages are included on the Professional. See
/usr/share/doc/packages/vdr/README.SuSE after you installed vdr to
get started.
