[linux-dvb] Hauppage Nexus CA is teasing me....
Hello!
I bought a fresh Nexus CA.
Running without any problems under XP...
I'm sitting here on my SID machine and build up "hundreds" vanilla 2.6.9
kernels. Without success....... :-(
I should say it is my first contact with DVB.
The card has an 7146 onboard. I've loaded the firmware dvb-ttpci-01.fw-261c
from the server. Building the driver was without problems. I tried to compile
it into the kernel and as module.
I2C and hotplug is enabled. I tried modules and as modules compiled.
Actually I'm guessing about the frontends. I found no Documentation....
There are two modules for cable versions in the kernel tree. I can modprobe
the modules but get no messages.
In the XP driver i found a file named "sc_main.mc". This file can be compiled
for a satelite card.
I tried the frontend driver compiled with the file from the server and with
the file from my XP harddisc.
Modprobe brings no result.
I tried all analog TV modules are available to get feedback from the card...
No messages and no success.
My actual dmesg output:
saa7146: found saa7146 @ mem fa892000 (revision 1, irq 209) (0x13c2,0x000a).
DVB: registering new adapter (Octal/Technotrend DVB-C for iTV).
Octal/Technotrend DVB-C for iTV adapter 0 has MAC addr = 00:d0:5c:24:43:e6
dvb: debi test in av7110_bootarm() failed: 1032078f != 10325476 (check your
BIOS hotplug settings)
av7110_fw_query error
DVB: AV7110-0: ERROR: Failed to boot firmware
I had succes loading the firmware with different kernels, but then the
"bastard" is not registering the card and bring other messages.
I have not the knowledge to write kernel drivers.
But if i can support you with testing or give you information about the card
please let me know.
Best regards TIM
