Right, I'm getting much further now... 2.6.10-rc1 compiled, installed and
rebooted fine (phew!), and on loading dvb-core, cx8800 and cx22702, dmesg
shows:
cx2388x v4l2 driver version 0.0.4 loaded
cx88[0]: subsystem: 14f1:0187, board: Conexant DVB-T reference design
[card=19,autodetected]
cx88[0]/0: found at 0000:00:0b.0, rev: 5, irq: 28, latency: 32, mmio:

cx88[0]/0: registered device video0 [v4l2]
cx88[0]/0: registered device vbi0
cx22702: Detected Hauppauge Nova-T DVB-T - PLL Thomson DTT759x
cx22702_validate_eeprom eeprom content is not valid
$ dvbtune -f 754167
FD 3: fd_dvr DEMUX DEVICE: : No such device or address
That's very strange because I'm sure this isn't a Hauppauge card - it was
bought off eBay from a guy selling dozens of these as 'intended for use with
Windows Media Center, but works OK on XP/2000'.
I've done a diff -u on the 2.6.10-rc1 cx22702.c and the current dvb-kernel cvs
and they seem identical save for spacing, so I'm not sure how 'using cvs'
would help me here.
So, next I set debug=1 in cx22702.c and tried again, which told me
i2c eeprom content:

Does that look in any way sensible?
Cheers,
Gavin.
