[linux-dvb] Help req. with DVB-TTUSB-Budget
Hi All,
I wonder if you can help?
I've been trying for a couple of days to get my DVB-TTUSB-Budget tuner to
work. I've done the following:
Taken it apart to find it uses a TDA10046 Frontend
Installed Kernel Sources to match my kernel (2.6.9-1.681_FC3).
Built the dvb_kernel driver
Downloaded the firmware using the get_dvb_firmware script, and copied it as
suggested
Run the ./insmod.sh script
I get the following:
Inserting DVB modules into kernel
FATAL: Module crc32 not found.
FATAL: Module firmware_class not found.
FATAL: Module evdev not found.
Err... A few questions:
What are these modules?
Where can I get them?
How do I build them?
Are they essential to the correct working of my card?
dmesg gives me:
DVB: registering new adapter (Technotrend/Hauppauge Nova-USB).
DVB: registering frontend 0 (Philips TDA10046H DVB-T)...
usbcore: registered new driver Technotrend/Hauppauge USB-Nova
And dvbscan gives me:
>>> tune to:
666000000:INVERSION_OFF:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_AUTO:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION
_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE
WARNING: >>> tuning failed!!!
>>> tune to:
666000000:INVERSION_OFF:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_AUTO:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION
_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE (tuning failed)
WARNING: >>> tuning failed!!!
Thank you very much for your help. If I can get this working, I'd be very
interested in writing some HOWTOs or Docs about how to get my current
combination of hw/sw up & working so others don't have to struggle like me!
Thank you,
Andrew
