No joy here.

The video mux inputs require a small patch (to the EMPRESS config) to
get input selection working correctly.

Any process that tries to read from /dev/video1 pauses. The process can
be killed but no data is read.

One thing I have noticed is that if a process has /dev/video1 open for
reading the image from xawtv starts flashing at approx 1hz. Xawtv is in
overlay mode and the flashing seems to be a normal video frame but
shifted down a variable degree. (Each flash appears to be higher on the
frame than the previous).
