I think its more likely the SAA7134 has not been set up to use the correct 
video input. I'm assuming the tuner spits out a decoded video signal to one 
of the composite inputs of the SAA7134...

I had lots of problems with this with the 5 inputs on my card initially. Esp 
as BMK had helpfully not labelled them.
