Can you get the KFir card shipped to the U.S.? I'm looking for a hardware mpeg2
encoder to use with mencoder in a multiple input scenario. I've looked at
NuppelVideo etc, and obviously it would be ideal to use hardware mpeg2 encoders
instead. I'm running debian stable and getting ivtv to compile was a bitch,
inserting the modules swamped me w/ errors, and, enough said, it didn't work.
Even if it had, I'm looking to use somewhere around 5 inputs in my capture box,
so the current state of the drive (supports only one card per system) is not
suited. I've been thinking about $200 a capture card, but if there are no
options in that range, I could use fewer tuners and pay around $400. Has anyone
had success with a hardware mpeg2 encoder using V4l or V4l2? Any advice, or
potential products would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Marty Gottesfeld
