Yes, Sascha Volkenandt provided the essential tip (it was
the "-d" in VDRCMD)

Here is my now fully functional VDRCMD which is called in
my runvdr:
     path/vdr -M path/mplayer.sh -d -w 60

Now everything works just fine ( only fforward and rewind in MP3s
doesn't work yet)
