We all see a "?" there.
There is only a "?" (0x3f) because the list software
removes all non-printable chars. That's OK.

But that is no warranty that you and all other in the world 
will really "see" the EUR-sign! That depends on the font one 
is using to display and that the writer did not use wind*ws 
which codes the EUR to the -wrong- 0x80(!), not to 0xA4.



So:
On an international list use "EUR" for "Euro" and "USD" for
"US-Dollar" (There are Canidian Dollars etc. too) 
so everbody see what you want them to see.
