The simpliest way would be to put your VDR-STB into a freezer. You won't hear anything anymore, there won't be overheating problems
and it would be more stable as the electrons like cooled copper (some kind of supra-copper ...)
Ok, people will ask why there is a big freezer next to your tv, but if you put some drinks into, too they'll understand *g*
P.S.: Do some airbrushing, A white freezer looks quite boring ... ;-)
