It is! Yersterday I inserted some debug code into the driver and finally
figured out that the no. of bits is compared to the sum of pre-, code-,
and post-data-bits. 

Since DVB isn't sending any pre or post data bits this number has to be
32.

Now everything works fine. Thanks for your help.
