for the first problem, I have to say that... I think that the circle is 
quite exact. I should measure on the tv-screen however

the second, you're right, however it's ALWAYS tv fault: if you watch it 
with xawtv, you'll see the whole image.

When you record or watch a movie with xawtv through the v4l interface, 
you'll be able to see a much bigger picture than the one you can see on 
a tv-set connected to the output.

should I add borders to the pic sent to the dvbcard, so the whole image 
is viewable on a tv set?
