I use tuxview, it comes with the driver.
It's located in the DVB-driver's directory under apps/tuxzap/src

Compiling the application package fails unfortunately (at least it 
always did for me), but a "make tuxview" should work.

Tuxview has a very nice fullscreen mode, that, unlike the one of xawtv, 
shows only very slight "comb-effects".
