Yes, it also has worked about 5 years ago with 2.2 kernels. I have done
suspend on the Toshiba 400CDT all the time without any problems. But
notebooks are generally build completely in a way that all hardware
supports suspend. Regular PCs have here more problems especially with
any PCI cards.
