[vdr] Unable to cut?

Hi,

I seem to be unable to cut my videos. 

- VDR-1.0.4-AIO-1009 w/ siemens_dvb-0.9.4 & LIRC 0.6.6 w/ lirc_dvb. 
- vdr is (still, to change soon) running as root. 
- Lots of free disk space. 
- IR events (key presses) are logged properly. 
- in replay mode, with or without progress bar displayed, nothing happens
  when I press "0". Normally, a file "marks.vdr" should be created and
  populated, and the progress bar should be populated with black and red
  triangles. Nothing happens. What can be the reason for that?
